As I have already shown in my article on the camera mod., it is often the little things that take a lot of time to gather information. This is also the case with the upfitter socket, the plug assignment and where to get the right plugs.
So here is a brief summary of the most important information about the plugs of the upfitter socket that is located in the B-pillar on the passenger side.

The power supply plug is connected directly to the starter battery with 2 cables (red, black). Depending on the year of manufacture, this is fused with 50A or 70A. The fuse is located in the battery box.

The connector itself is already there, but the two connection pins are still needed.
|
|
|
|
The 15-pin connector provides all signals relevant for the expansion. D+ is inverted here and can be connected accordingly via an external relay. The CAN bus connection is optional.
